Summary
Hidden In Numbers is privacy-first. We do not store the documents you upload. Files are processed entirely in memory during a single request and discarded immediately afterward. We do not train any model on your content. No document content is ever sent to third-party AI services.
What we process
- Uploaded documents: held in memory only for the duration of a scan, then discarded. Never written to disk or a database.
- Scan reports: generated in your browser session (sessionStorage). They are not sent to or retained by our servers.
- Rate-limiting data: we store a hashed/derived identifier (such as your IP) with a daily counter to enforce an anti-abuse scan limit. This expires automatically.
Cookies & advertising
The Service is free and requires no account. We use a minimal set of functional cookies, plus advertising cookies from Google AdSense to keep the Service free. Google may use cookies (including the DoubleClick/IDE cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See our Cookie Policy for details.
Third parties
- Upstash — rate-limit counters (no document content).
- Netlify — hosting and serverless function execution.
- Google AdSense — displays advertising and may set cookies for ad personalization and remarketing.
No document content is sent to any third-party service. All analysis runs on our own servers using deterministic rule-based engines.
Your rights
Because we don't retain your documents or build profiles from them, there is little personal data to access or delete. Questions about this policy or the data we process, contact hello@hiddeninnumbers.org.
